IN ADDITION TO BASIC INFORMATION ON THE SOUTH PLANT, THIS ISSUE OF THE MAGAZINE INTRODUCES SOME OF THE MOST ADVANCED HEAT TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES, INCLUDING "CARBURIZING-NITRIDING" TO IMPROVE SURFACE LUBRICITY, "VACUUM CARBURIZING" FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS WITH NO CO2 EMISSIONS, AND "OSCILLATING HARDENING" TO REDUCE HARDENING VARIATION.
