WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TAMAYAKIN?
The main reason why I chose Tama Yakin is honestly a feeling. However, it was the Dantotsu of all the companies I received, so much so that I think it was fate. I am a graduate of a technical high school and was in the first term of high school student recruitment at TAMAYAKIN. At the time we met, there was no job offer and the company was preparing to hire high school students at the time, so I even asked my teacher to send out a job offer.
The best thing was the atmosphere. The vice-president and the person in charge of recruitment were both friendly, and they created a mood in which we could talk so casually that we felt as if we were having a comic dialogue with our friends.
What kind of work do you do now?
The main focus is on site work in the vacuum shop, where the hot work is carried out. At first I was guided by senior staff, and now I am also entrusted with making improvements and assigning personnel to ensure efficient running of the site.
There is an upper limit to the number of processes that can be carried out in a day, so it is fun to work out how to combine them and schedule them like a puzzle to ensure smooth progress. In order to achieve short delivery times, it is important to communicate closely with the technical group, which receives the heat treatment details, and the operations group, which deals with customers and delivery dates. Although it is on-site work, I feel that brain play and teamwork are very important in this job.
What is the attraction of Tamayakain?
I THINK THE APPEAL OF TAMAYAKIN IS A CORPORATE CULTURE THAT TAKES IN ALL KINDS OF OPINIONS AND GIVES PEOPLE OPPORTUNITIES, REGARDLESS OF AGE, GENDER OR DEPARTMENT. I MYSELF AM THE YOUNGEST IN TERMS OF AGE, BUT SINCE I FIRST JOINED THE COMPANY, I HAVE ALWAYS ASKED MYSELF, "COULDN'T WE DO THIS BETTER? I HAVE OFTEN OFFERED MY OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS. IN RECOGNITION OF THESE ACTIVITIES, I WAS RECOMMENDED AS A MEMBER OF THE 'IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL', WHICH EXAMINES AND PROMOTES IMPROVEMENTS IN SAFETY MANAGEMENT, EFFICIENCY AND 5S IN THE WORKPLACE AS A WHOLE, AND I WAS ALSO SELECTED AS DEPUTY LEADER! EACH GROUP CONSISTS OF ONE PERSON, MAKING A TOTAL OF 10 PEOPLE, AND I AM GLAD THAT I AM GIVEN A PLACE WHERE I CAN DEVELOP MY SKILLS OUTSIDE OF FIELD WORK IN THIS WAY. ALTHOUGH THE COMPANY HAS A LONG HISTORY, I THINK IT IS A COMPANY WHERE YOUNG PEOPLE CAN PLAY AN ACTIVE ROLE.
Message to students.
Even if the most important goal is ruined, it is important to move on anyway. I initially set my sights on becoming a civil servant, but gave up when the eligibility requirements were changed in the year of job hunting. However, I am now studying book-keeping, believing that I can go in the direction I want to go, even if it is a new path. In the future, I hope to work in a position closer to management!
