WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TAMAYAKIN?

My choice of company revolved around working in the Tama area, where I can commute from home, and a position where I can make use of my experience. I belonged to a seminar on community activities at university and came into contact with a wide variety of people in the local community through collaborative events with companies. In order to make use of this experience, I searched for an administrative position that would serve as a bridge between the inside and outside of the company, and I ended up at TAMA Yakin.

To be honest, I didn't have a clear idea of what the company did even after attending the information session, but on the contrary, the fact that there was so much I didn't know led to interest and I went for an interview. I spoke directly with the vice-president, who told me that communication with people inside and outside the company was very important in the general affairs role, and that there were also scenes where I could make use of my experience in planning internal events, which I thought sounded interesting because I could make use of my experience. At the time, I had already received offers from more than three companies, but I decided to join TAMAYAKIN because I was interested in the personality of the vice-president and the work content.

What kind of work do you do now?

I am entrusted with a really wide range of jobs, from equipment management and purchasing, labour management, planning and execution of internal events, and more recently, payroll and recruitment. The hardest part is that although it is a back-office job, there is hardly any routine work. The range of work I am entrusted with is expanding rapidly, but in addition to that, Tama Yakin is a company with a lot of real change, as it claims to be a 'long-established venture'. For example, the payroll calculation system is updated the year after I learnt the process, and the company is constantly changing in the right direction, so even in the General Affairs Group, there is no getting used to the work.

The job is not easy to get caught up in, as irregularities often occur, but I have been entrusted with a wide range of diverse tasks since I first joined the company, and I feel that the hard work has helped me to develop skills that can be used anywhere.

What is the attraction of Tamayakain?

It's about being close to management. The president also frequently visits the site. It is easy to express your own opinions without feeling any barriers, and I think the environment is such that young people's opinions are listened to. Also, the internal environment is constantly changing, so there are many opportunities to play an active role regardless of age.

It is always better to work around the axis of your job search. This can be in terms of employment conditions, for example. If you have your own axis and listen to people from various companies, you will gradually gain a new perspective.
