Aircraft Parts Leading-Edge Heat Treatment
Overview.
We offer state-of-the-art heat treatment for aircraft parts. We hold a wide range of Nadcap certifications including vacuum heat treatment, carburizing, nitriding, and aluminum heat treatment. Aircraft parts treated at TAMA are third-party certified for quality, and we often heat treat space and defense components in facilities controlled in accordance with Nadcap requirements. We have been involved in the heat treatment of aircraft parts for 40 years. We have a proven track record with many major companies. We provide high value-added and quick delivery.
01 State-of-the-art heat treatment for high value-added mass production
TAMAYAKIN is capable of performing a wide range of heat treatments for not only steel, but also nonferrous metals such as aluminum, nickel alloys, and copper alloys. Our heat treatment processes include quenching and tempering, solution annealing, age hardening, carburizing, nitriding, and annealing, and we have extensive experience in these processes. We have been focusing on high-mix, small-lot production, and our new plant is equipped with a transfer machine, gas carburizing furnace, and nitriding furnace that enable mass production. We provide low distortion and high value-added heat treatment under a high quality assurance system in compliance with Nadcap.
02 Technology
vacuum heat treatment
TAMAYAKIN's vacuum heat treatment technology offers precipitation hardening, vacuum quenching, tempering, and annealing.

aluminum alloy heat treatment
Aluminum alloys are widely used in aircraft, and we of course offer heat treatment services for them. Our aluminum heat treatment furnace has a working zone of 2,400 mm x 2,400 mm x 1,400 mm in height, which is large enough to accommodate an aircraft engine. The maximum loading capacity is 500 kg, but we are currently placing an order for up to 1500 kg. This is an extra large size in the industry.
APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS: AMS2770, AMS2772, MIL-H-6088, RPS323
nitriding furnace
Nitriding treatment, which enables surface hardening by ammonia gas, is used in aircraft parts such as pistons and cylinders, where wear resistance and sliding properties are required. By controlling the nitriding potential (Kn) of the compound layer (white layer) with nitriding treatment, the growth rate of the nitride film can be controlled and suppressed to the utmost limit, thereby eliminating the compound layer removal process required in the subsequent process.
