01 Aluminum and magnesium alloys are also strengthened by heat treatment.

In aluminum alloys, the Al-Cu-Si AC2A, Al-Si-Mg AC4A, and Al-Si-Cu ADC12 alloys are subjected to Solution treatment → aging treatment (T6 treatment) can be applied to increase strength. Heat treatment temperatures vary slightly depending on the alloy type, but solution treatment temperatures range from 500 to 530°C and aging treatment temperatures range from 150 to 250°C. Magnesium alloys include Mg-Al, Mg-Al-Zn, and Mg-Zn alloys, and their strength can be increased by T6 treatment. Solution treatment temperatures range from 400~530℃, and aging treatment temperatures range from 150~250℃. The quality symbols for these materials are specified in JIS.
