WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TAMAYAKIN?

I was looking for a job where I could make use of my English, partly because I studied English literature at university. I also loved the atmosphere of airports, so the keywords in my search for a company were 'aircraft, English and office work'. That's how I found Tama Yakin. I was living in Musashisakai and thought that Musashimurayama would be a place where I wouldn't have to deal with crowded trains.

I also felt that I was not suited for an office job where I would be in front of a computer all the time, but I was told that with the Operations Group, the work would be about half office work and half customer service, and I felt it would be a good fit for me. In your job, you may use English, although not a lot, and although it is very different from airports, I thought it was the best company for me.

What kind of work do you do now?

Receiving heat treatment is our main task. We receive metals that require heat treatment processing, and in cooperation with each group in the company, we are in charge of everything from informing customers of delivery dates to contacting them in case of trouble and handing over the products, all as a liaison. Naturally, the products brought in are all metal, so they are very heavy. It is a hard task to put them on a cart, but when things get really tough, people around me, regardless of the group, help me out.

Although we work in an administrative position, we are in direct contact with customers, so we are the face of the company to them. One single action can lead to an impression of the company, so I try to be courteous and greet our regular customers by looking them in the face. As we do this, customers naturally ask us for advice and depend on us. In addition, since I am the link between the customer and the site, I actively communicate with each group in the company on a daily basis to ensure that work proceeds smoothly.

What is the attraction of Tamayakain?

First of all, we are very close to the management team, including the president and vice-president. The employees are also very frank and kind, and they are happy to discuss their work as well as their private life problems with you.

Also, you can enjoy your private time as you usually work very little overtime and can take your holidays well. I go to yoga after work or watch Korean dramas at home... There are several club activities within the company, and I recently joined the golf club, so on my days off I go to the driving range with my parents!
