About the SDGs
Heat treatment furnaces use electric heaters to heat the furnace to around 1000°C, which consumes a lot of electricity.
Heat treatment is therefore said to be one of the most electricity-intensive processes in metalworking.
We at TAMAYAKIN installed solar panels on the roof of our plant in 2020, and we are now heat-treating while using electricity generated in-house.
We will continue to give consideration to the global environment and as a step towards a sustainable society, we will continue our attempts to procure clean electricity with reduced CO2 emissions.
